Pete, I ran 11 miles on Sunday, so I cross-trained yesterday instead (40 minutes on the stationary bike). Since my 11 miles on Sunday matches your total effort from Sunday and Monday, I feel comfortable that I am training plenty. But I appreciate your deep concern for my health and well being.

I should add that Rachel has a good excuse: she is on vacation in Europe.

I think Mary ran on her own. Pete, she may have ditched you in favor of running a little faster than your usual pace.

Pete, I was already running when you called. I also ran 6 mi on the mall. How come I didn't see you there???? I actually have pics on my phone to prove I was there, since I sent my family photos of the Bhutanese temple and monuments in the sunset. Where's your proof??

sounds like we need to install gps tracking chips in each of the Shagbarks to keep tabs on everyone's location and training.

if the under the skin chips are good enough for stanley and scarlett, then they're good enough for the shagbark hickories...

Mary i was indeed running AND taking calls. I ran past some blond women taking pictures and thought they were russian tourists amazed by the bhutanese temple. must have been you. or maybe your story doesn't pan out...

Pete, don't let them shame you into over-training. That's when injuries occur. A good weekly schedule:

Monday - Carbo loading
Tuesday - Inspirational music / positive visualization
Wednesday - light run
Thursday - team-building with e-mail banter and shit-talking on the blog
Friday - muscle recovery
Saturday - light run
Sunday - the Lord's day (rest)

Matt, I don't think that over-training is going to be an issue with this team. Unless, of course, you or Pete get carpal tunnel syndrome from stuffing too many doughnuts in your face.
